Thank you, Austin!!!!

That Takes the Cake 2010 - Austin, Texas

What a fabulous weekend we had at the cake show in Austin. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all of the show goers and show organizers
for their kindness and hospitality. Cupcake Envy, including me, Christina, and my sister Debbie, arrived in Austin on Friday night excited and ready to roll up our sleeves. Saturday morning, the convention was buzzing with smiling volunteers, cakes arriving waiting to be judged, and a host of celebrity cake designers preparing for their classes. So, there we were in room 1 preparing for our 11 am class "The Business of Cakelets" (which not to brag, well okay alittle, was sold out) Who walks in? Mr. Mike McCarey! How cool was that? He was very kind and welcomed me to the show....a great start to the day. Class went awesome....the folks who signed up were fabulous. I started out chatting about how cool and versatile cakelets are, showed of my arsenal of pans, whispered some secrets and tricks, then we were off to get our hands in some fondant. Each student was to cut, cover, and decorate a t shirt cakelet. The designs turned out super. Not one tshirt looked alike and a like piece of each student's personality shined in their work. Hat's off!!!!
Along with an exciting display of cakelet designs, Cupcake Envy sold our How to Create Sphere Cakelets DVD. With professional production dude to help us create an awesome video, it was a hot item at the show.
We will continue to sell the Sphere Cakelets Step by step DVD through our shopping cart at www.cupcakeenvy.com...Order today!
