What do you think?

Okay cakelet fans, this year I am adding a new monthly blog post called:

A Cakelet for Every Pan

This is how it is going to work:

Each month I am going to post a different shaped baking pan that can be purchased either online, at your local cake supply store, or a national craft store chain
. This is where you come in....

I want you to tell me what cakelet designs can be made from that shaped pan. Be creative folks, one pan can go a long ways when it comes to creating cakelets. At the end of the month, after we get a descent amount of ideas and comments, I am going to announce the most creative idea given and feverishly praise the mastermind behind the idea. Then I will post a variety of cakelet designs we've created using that pan.

Calling all clever cake addicts..let the games begin! Here's the first pan:

you could make a fountain drink, with a straw coming out of the top! or a sand bucket with a shovel!

beer pong cups - on a ping pong table cake... with a white fondant ball (or large white gumball...)

Or a beer mug

I went straight to alcohol too. You could put two together to make a drink shaker. I love the champagne bucket or sand bucket idea. Of course you could do some vintage glasses look, or pottery type things for SuzAnna's!! lol!

Okay, not sure if this has been suggested yet...How about a Mint Julep (Julip) cup for Derby Days. Would be big hit in KY.

I see a fire hydrant for a kids firefighter themed party. You can have a "hose" out of fondant connected to it.

A few ethnic ideas:

-An oil lamp (diya) for Diwali.
-Dim sum bamboo pot or even a plate of pot stickers
-Poutine!!!! with caramel sauce and little nuggets of cheesecake for the gravy and cheese.

You could do a baby carriage. Similar to your flower pot(round on top) with a 90 degree angle cut out of the top(adding wheels, handle, etc). A volcano would also be cute, or an Indian Tepee.

Question about the pan. Went to buy it at local AC Moore but the "Jumbo Muffin Pan" is alot shorter and does not look like the pan in the picture. They did have a KING Size Muffin Pan that looks just like the picture and is ALOT taller than the Jumbo muffin pan. Does anyone know which one is actually correct? Thanks!!

Yes, Anonymous, its the king size muffin pan
